We are so excited to announce our annual 2025 RULECougar summer basketball camp held on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. This is our 11^th summer running RULECougar camp where we create an environment of learning fundamentals of the game, how to become a great teammate, and character building for each camper. Whether they have been to multiple camps or this is their first, we are excited for a week full of learning, growing, competing, and a whole lot of FUN. DATES & TIME

The 11th annual MVNU #RULECougar Day Camp will take place on Monday, June 23-Thursday, June 26 (session 1) and Monday, July 21-Thursday, July 124 (session 2) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30PM. Camp doors officially open at 8:30 a.m. daily.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Camp participation is limited to 2nd-10th grade students.

LOCATION

Camp will be located on the beautiful Mount Vernon Nazarene University campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

COST

This is a high value college camp priced at $170 for four days of FUN & excellent instruction.

In addition, each camper will also receive a T-shirt and a camp ball.

Registration is due by Monday, June 16/July 14 Note that a 6% convenience fee will be charged to those who register online.

Late registrants will be accepted for an additional $15 charge.

ADDITIONAL CAMP SAVINGS OPTIONS

• Campers attending both weeks of Day Camp
  can attend for $290 ($30 discount)
• MVNU faculty and staff can send family members to camp for $140 ($15 discount).
• Families sending more than one camper can receive a $25 discount for each additional camper.

INSTRUCTION

Campers will be divided by grade/skill level. Younger campers will receive a fun and positive introduction to basketball. Campers will also establish a foundation for basketball fundamentals.

The older camp will focus on developing skills and teaching new ones. Individualized instruction and competitive play will offer opportunities for campers to improve their game. This is a teaching and learning camp with an emphasis on fundamentals, teamwork, and a positive atmosphere to grow.

STAFF

All camps will be run by MVNU Head Coach Jared Ronai, staff, and players. This staff will provide the best instruction available for any level player.

NECESSARY EQUIPMENT

Each camper is responsible for his own shoes, socks, shorts and shirts.

LUNCH

Campers may purchase pizza for lunch or bring a packed lunch with their name clearly marked on it. Drinks and snacks will be sold at the camp concession stand.

INSURANCE

Each camper must have their own medical insurance. The MVNU Basketball Camp will not be responsible for any medical or dental insurance. A medical release statement is included on the registration form and must be signed by a parent or guardian. Each camper’s health and protection is our first and foremost concern. The services of an athletic trainer will be available during camp.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Refunds will be made prior to the first day of camp, minus the $25 non-refundable deposit. Once camp begins, refunds will only be issued for medical reasons supported by a physician’s statement.

If you are not familiar with our “RULECougar” culture and program, I would like to invite you to come experience an organized, high-level camp in the BEST small-college arena in the region. Our RULECougar culture emphasizes fundamental skill development within a high character program. While at camp you will be exposed to a practice type setting working on specific skills you can take home to work on your game. You will also be involved in competitive 1 on 1, 3 on 3, and 5 on 5 game competition. During the day Coach Ronai will take you through a recruiting seminar where you will learn what they look for in recruits and also gain knowledge on all levels of college basketball and the world of recruiting. This is not your normal “elite camp”. You will walk away a more informed player energized to work on your game. We hope you join us to gain skills, knowledge, exposure, and GET BETTER.

Learn what the recruiting process looks like and understand what coaches are looking for in a potential recruit. You will have the opportunity to work with and be evaluated by coaches in the region, as well as get and inside scoop on the MVNU basketball program.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Participating athletes are required to wear masks for registration and off-court activities, but are permitted to remove masks for any on-court instruction/games. Unless directed otherwise, all spectators will be required to wear masks. Coaches will be wearing masks when not actively instructing athletes. Please respect social distancing mandates.
